The Nebraska State Patrol has been notified and asked to assist with the patrol of the Village of Manley due to the absence of the Cass Co. Sheriff’s office and a shortage of County Deputies at this time.
*Do you need to dig in your yard??? It is a Federal law that you must first call before you dig!! Also, if you are planning to build, add to, remove, or move a structure, you must talk to the Village Zoning Administrator, Betty Meyer PRIOR to starting the project! This includes fencing, shed, house, patio, garage and other structures, INSIDE AS WELL AS OUTSIDE.
*Need a place to hold your next meeting, shower or seminar? The Manley Community Building is for rent! For more info and to schedule an event, contact Jolene Dalton, Village Clerk at the office. Parking for events is on the WEST side of the street only! Signs for this and for the parking at the Catholic Church will be secured so we don’t block residents or emergency vehicles.
Did you know that ALL advertising for Pillage the Village comes from the Cass County Tourism Board??? We are extremely grateful for this grant!
The Village Board met Monday evening, 2/20 to begin a community attitude survey. This survey will help the Village obtain grants for funding several projects and we are asking for your assistance. If the surveys come your way, PLEASE fill them out and return them. The surveys ask a variety of questions to ascertain whether the village can raise the funds on their own thru the taxpayers or whether grants are available. The ONLY way we will qualify for any grants is for 100% participation. If someone refuses to participate, the board will have to look at ALL other avenues and resources to come up with the money.
Last Saturday, the Board hosted a casserole potluck and Bunco Tourney. American Soy Scents donated several prizes, however, they were not needed due to attendance and they
Were instead donated to the Village for the Village Clerk School that Jolene Dalton will attend in a month. In attendance for the Potluck were, Mickey and Jolene Dalton, Tim and Laura Glas, Barb Merrifield and Father Tom. We had a great fellowship. If you missed it.....we missed you!
WILL WE SEE YOU ON SUNDAY???
The Lofte is hosting a Tribute to John Denver this Saturday, Mar 4th at 7PM. Tickets are $15.
Our Village Clerk, Jolene Dalton has been approved to go to Clerk school this March! She will be out of the office that week. A grant has already been secured to pay for part of it and the Board is looking into other grants to finalize the cost.
WILL WE SEE YOU ON SATURDAY???
