Manley Board of Trustees meets the first Thursday of the month in the Community Building at 7PM. The next one is Thursday, Sept 1^st!

*******THE BIG DAY IS ALMOST HERE!!! Pillage the Village is this Saturday!!! If you are able to bake cookies, cake, brownies etc and can donate them, please contact our clerk, Jolene Dalton (402-234-2304). Reminder……….Cherry St is closed from North to Main on this day Don’t forget about the Pancake Breakfast/Lunch at the Firehouse, the Craft/Vendor Show (several Manley residents have booths), The Redneck Tractor Pull, Kid’s Bounce House, Cupcake Decorating Contest, Car/Bike Show and Shine, KickBall Tourney and of course………FOOD!!!

Please remember to lock your vehicles and residences. Keep all valuables out of sight or in your possession at all times! Break Ins do occur. If you notice suspicious people in the area, please don’t hesitate to contact the Cass Co Sheriff’s Department!

HAVE YOU NOTICED THE WORK DONE ON THE STREETS LATELY??? LOOKS GOOD HUH? THAT’S OUR TAX DOLLARS HARD AT WORK. MANLEY GETS REALLY GOOD REVIEWS ON THE STREETS AND APPEARANCE OF THE VILLAGE.

THE VILLAGE WAS GIVEN A GRANT FOR THE NEW SIGN AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER! STOP AND TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT IT! THANKS TO BETTY MEYER, TIM GLAS, MICKEY DALTON AND JOLENE DALTON FOR PUTTING IT UP! ALSO, THANKS TO THE BOARD FOR THEIR IDEAS AND GETTING THIS GRANT! THANK YOU TO ANDREW BAUERMEISTER FOR THE DONATION OF ROCK AND TERRY/BETTY MEYER FOR DIRT FOR THE SIGN!

Do you need to dig in your yard??? It is a Federal law that you must first call before you dig!! Also, if you are planning to build, add to, remove, or move a structure, you must talk to the Village Zoning Administrator, Betty Meyer PRIOR to starting the project! This includes fencing, shed, house, patio, garage and other structures.

Need a place to hold your next meeting, shower or seminar? The Manley Community Building is for rent! Downstairs/Kitchen (up to 25 people) is $50. The whole building is $100. For more info and to schedule an event, contact Jolene Dalton, Village Clerk at the office.

The Verdeen cousins (Gaynelle, Peaches and Jimmie Wyvette) could not have picked a worse time to schedule their family reunion. They face an uphill battle on the hottest day in July smack-dab in the middle of Texas tornado season. Soon a parade of wildly eccentric Verdeen's descend upon their southern town and things spin hilariously out of control. You will wish your own family reunions were this much fun!

This production runs for seven dates over the course of two weekends. Be sure to make your reservations and don't miss this family-friendly hootenanny!

Henry Perkins, a mild-mannered C.P.A., accidentally picks up the wrong briefcase. Finding it filled with assumed illicit cash, he rushes home to grab his wife and buy a one-way ticket to Barcelona. However, the police soon arrive, as does a detective thinking that Henry is dead. The high-energy fall farce is here and it's "Funny Money!"

How to donate blood

For more information and to make an appointment to donate, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Donors of all blood types are needed. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Blood donors can now save time at their next donation by using RapidPass to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of their donation, prior to arriving at the blood drive.
